Bluesky enter MIPIM Architectural Review Future Project Awards 2008
28th November 2007
Bluesky Developments are proud to enter this prestigious annual awards, exhibition and catalogue that celebrates new architectural thinking.
In partnership with Geraghty Taylor architects, Bluesky enter 'Lifecycle House'.
Lifecycle House Project Brief:
Create low rise, high density sub-urban residential development as an enabling Phase 1 on a large brown field site on Croydon Road.
- 1 car parking space per unit
- Private and communal gardens
- The dwellings must meet Croydon Councils requirement for Code for Sustainable Home Level 4
Geraghty Taylor Architect’s Response
Lifecycle House concept – Flexibility, Growth and Potential. The concept is a home for life. A dwelling with designed-in potential allowing occupants to extend the house to meet their changing lifestyles. Value is added through lifestyle change in the home not by moving to another house. Community enjoys the effect of longer term residents – greater pride, emotional and practical investment. `
